AUDIENCE OF THE MAYOR OF CALVIÀ WITH THE BRITISH CONSUL GENERAL FOR CATALONIA AND THE BALEARIC ISLANDS
The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has received the British Consul General for Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, Lloyd Milen. It is a courtesy call that he has made accompanied by the British Vice Consul in the Balearic Islands, Gillian Brion.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Sports and International Community, Eva Serra, they talked about the willingness of both institutions to continue maintaining and intensifying the cooperation channels.
The Mayor stressed the importance of keeping these open ways of dialogue with the institutional representatives of one of the main tourism sources for Calvià. The municipality also counts on a permanent presence of more than 5.100 UK citizens residing in the municipality or spending long periods in it.
On behalf of the Town Hall, the meeting was also attended by the Head of the International Community Department, Dolina Reynolds; as well as the British Vice Consul in Mallorca, Elaine Brannan.
