The Calvià Town Hall signs an agreement for 4 years with the Association of People with Disabilities of Calvià (ASDICA).


The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has signed an agreement with the president of the Association of People with Disabilities of Calvià (ASDICA), Joan Venys, that means, for 2016, a grant of 14,800 euros aimed at leisure activities for the youths.

The agreement, which has been signed for four years, aims to carry out a project of leisure activities for teenagers and young residents in the municipality of Calvià, with an equal or superior to 33% diagnosed disability. It also includes the physiotherapy service aimed at members of ASDICA that because of a chronic disease need regularly a physical therapist (service that the Social Security does not cover once the acute stages of the diseases have past), and the use cession of a municipal premises in Son Ferrer.


The agreement gathers the commitment that the government team made after the Mayor's meeting held with the President of ASDICA in September 2015, during which it was announced the commitment to ensure the continuity of the cooperation and even increase it. In the budgets of 2016 it was already reflected this commitment with the entry of 14,800 euros, which doubles the entry expected in the accounts of the year 2015.


After the signing of the agreement, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal expressed the satisfaction to continue and expand this collaboration with an entity, ASDICA, which performs such an important task for the citizenship of Calvià.
