The Peña Barcelonista (Barcelona Football Club) of Peguera, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, hosted the meeting
The 13th Gathering of Barcelona Football Clubs of the Balearic Islands was held in Peguera on Friday coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista of Peguera.
The event, which was held at 9 p.m. in the Auditorium of Peguera, was attended by more than 500 people and in which the presentation of awards to all the Clubs of the islands took place after the dinner.
Previously, at 8 p.m., in the Calvià Town Hall there was a reception by the Mayor to the organisers of the event and the leaders of the FC Barcelona, who attended this event. Alfonso Rodríguez Badal welcomed the Gathering's organisers and guests, headed by Pau Vilanova, member of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, and Sebastián Palmer, President of the Penya Barcelonista of Peguera.
On behalf of the Town Hall, the ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Sports and International Community, Eva Serra; the Deputy Mayor and Councillor of the area of Peguera, Juan Cuadros; and the General Director of Sports, Marcos Pecos; and the president of the Hotel Association of Peguera and Cala Fornells, Antonio Mayol, also attended the event.
On behalf of Barcelona FC, the event was attended by Josep Castellà, member of the Football Sports Commission; José Luís Galilea, president of the AAJB of the FCB; Joan Josep Estella, former player and member of the ABJ of the FCB; Ricardo Serna, former player and member of the ABJ of the FCB; and Audie Norris, former player and member of the AAJB of the FCB.
