The Calvià Town Hall invests more than 200.000 euros in improvements in the municipal cemeteries
OVER 200.000 EUROS TO IMPROVE THE CEMETERIES OF CALVIÀ AND ES CAPDELLÀ
The Town Hall is carrying out various works to repair damages
The Calvià Town Hall, through the Department of Maintenance, is carrying out various improvement works in the municipal cemeteries of Calvià and es Capdellà amounting to a total of 203.000 euros.
Given the deterioration of some elements, the Town Hall made an intervention plan in the municipal cemeteries that now is undertaking to respond to the problems that had been detected such as floods, cracks, etc.
One of the actions undertaken is the installation of air conditioning in the funeral parlours of the cemetery of Calvià, which cost amounts to 23.000 euros.
In addition, restoration works are being carried out on the roof of the old chapel, the curtain wall by the roadside and the covers of a set of tombs in the old part. Also, the waterproofing of the two funeral parlours, the roof of the new chapel, and a new rainwater collector are being carried out.
In the cemetery of es Capdellà it is being rebuilt the sewage network (wastewater) in bathrooms, and the cracks in the walls are being repaired, while is being repaired the roof to ensure the proper water drainage.
Also, a shooter will be placed in the chapel's gap to avoid water entering the interior.
