THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL UNDERTAKES WORKS THIS SUMMER IN THE 11 PRE-SCHOOL AND PRIMARY EDUCATION CENTRES OF THE MUNICIPALITY FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF 350.000 EUROS

This amount is added to the 136.277 euros invested during the 2015/16 school term

The Calvià Town Hall will invest, throughout the months of July, August and September, 350.000 euros of sustainable investment in the pre-school and primary education centres.

During the Summer, various activities will be carried out in the centres that respond to the needs that the managements of the public schools passed on to the Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, in the round of visits he made, together with the Deputy Mayor of Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés, to the school centres last year.

Some of the works due to be carried out this Summer are: the refurbishment of the pre-school education playground in the CEIP Jaume I, the repair of the perimeter wall of the Ceip Cas Saboners, the perimeter fence with welded fence of the Ceip Son Caliu, the remodeling of the exterior bathrooms of the CEIP Puig de Sa Ginesta, the replacement of the pre-school education rubber playground of the Ceip Bendinat, the asphalting of the primary education playground and the creation of a new playground in the CEIP Ses Rotes Velles, amongst others.

The 350.000 euros investment that will be undertaken this Summer, are added to the 136.277 euros that the Calvià Town Hall, through the IMEB, has invested throughout the 2015/16 school term, in improvement works in the facilities of the different schools of the municipality, so the investment will exceed the amount of 480.000 euros in improvements in the public pre-school and primary education centres of Calvià.

These improvements were focused on: the replacement of the pavement of the primary education's building ramp of the CEIP Xaloc, the change of the boiler room of the CEIP Jaume I and Son Ferrer, the supply and installation of two boilers in the Ceip Bendinat, the reconditioning of the bathroom for people with reduced mobility of the CEIP Puig de Sa Morisca, the replacement of the covered courtyard's access door in the CEIP Ses Quarterades , and the purchase and placement of corner protectors throughout the pre-school education playground, amongst others.
