Calvià Local Police has reported a total of 1,568 complaints related to municipal ordinances in 75 days, from 1st May to 14th July, which means an average of 21 complaints per day.
Most reports (566) were filed by hawking, representing 36% of all complaints by municipal ordinances related activities. Followed, with 24%, those relating to perishable goods peddling (377) and massages on the beach (367). The Ordinance for protection against noise pollution has had 209 complaints (13%), and 49 related to the Dynamic Advertising bylaw (3%). In addition, 90 reports for television screens that did not comply with municipal regulations were also filed, under the Inspections Plan carried out by the Town Council.
On the other hand, in those 75 days, Calvià's Local Police was involved in 4,187 incidents, representing about 56 per day. They have been for different reasons, amongst tehm, actions related to public safety.
796 interventions have been peformed related to noise, 634 performances related to traffic, and 627 people assisted on public roads (intoxication, injuries, indisposition, etc.).
The police has also been involved in 540 incidents related to fights, assaults and public disorder.
172 judicial proceedings have been instructed, and 40 people have been arrested.

The Calvià Town Hall appreciates the work that the Local Police of Calvià carries out at this time of the year in which the population can multiply up to fivefold. At this time, for the second consecutive year, the Town Hall has again made an economic and staff effort to try to meet the needs of the municipality, of both residents and visitors.
