The Calvià emergency forces have performed a rescue simulation on the beach of Son Maties

The beach of Son Maties has been the scenario of a rescue simulation which has been conducted by the Calvià emergency services and in which a total of 25 people including Water Activities Lifeguards / RESEM (responsible for the the beach assignee), CICOC (communications room of the Local Police), Local Police, Civil Protection, 061, Emergencies of Calvià, 112 and extras, have participated.
The simulation has consisted in responding to an accident at sea between a boat and a pedalo, between the beach of Palmanova and the beach of Son Maties. A rescue and first aid area has been set up on the beach of Son Maties.
In the exercise it has been used, for the first time, the articulated visual protection screen, acquired by Civil Protection, which prevents from people looking while attending the accident victims and delimits the workspace.
The drills are performed in compliance with the following decrees: Decree 2/2005 and Decree 27/2015 regulatory of the minimum safety and protection measures which the beaches and bathing areas of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands must obey.
