CALVIÀ TOWN HALL IS FORCED TO CANCEL SUNDAY'S FIREWORKS DUE TO REASONS BEYOND ITS CONTROL
The company in charge of the fireworks has not met the safety requirements stipulated in the regulations
Calvià Town Hall regrets having to report the cancellation of the fireworks to be held on Sunday 11th September, for reasons beyond its control.
The reason is that the company responsible for this activity has not met the safety requirements stipulated in the regulations. The security plans that the company has been submitting have been denied by the Government's Delegation of the Balearic Islands, by not complying with the provisions of the law. The Town Hall, ensuring the safety of the event, has been in talks with the Government's Delegation to try to get the company to remedy the deficiencies.
Given the failure of the company, and not having time to hire another, the Town Hall has finally decided to cancel the activity.
The Calvià Town Hall announces that it will take steps against the company to claim for responsibilities and damages.
