THE LOCAL POLICE OF CALVIÀ JOINS THE TRAFFIC SPECIAL CAMPAIGN ON THE USE OF SEAT BELTS WITH THE RESULT OF 39 COMPLAINTS FILED

Coinciding with the week of the start of the school year, the Local Police of Calvià joined the special Campaign on seat belts and child restraint systems, promoted by the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of the Balearic Islands.

A total of 715 vehicles -amongst cars, taxis, buses and trucks- and 1.213 passengers, including drivers and passengers were controlled.

As a result of these controls, 36 complaints were filed for not wearing seat belts on (17 drivers, 8 front seats and 11 rear seats), and 3 for not having regulatory child restraint systems (all three in rear seats).

The Local Police of Calvià intensifies its adhesion to this type of campaigns, promoting, in this case, their competencies in terms of traffic. This one, precisely, will be one of the aspects that will be strengthened throughout the month of October with the launch of the new organisational chart that includes the creation of a Traffic Division.
