A bicycle and walking Day will take place along Calvià's promenade on Sunday 25th September with the aim of promoting the use of sustainable means of transport.
A bicycle and walking Day will take place along Calvià's promenade on the forthcoming Sunday 25th September 2016 within the frame of the European Mobility Week with the aim of promoting the use of sustainable means of transport. The meeting point is the Aqualand (Magaluf) parking and the itinerary starts at 10 a.m.
Furthermore, this year the Day it is expected to be complemented with the presentation of companies specialised in the promotion, development and design of renewable energy projects in various stands, that will show us solutions and novelties about the use of these sustainable energy sources.
There will be several routes, three of which will be for cycling and one by foot.
For those who opt for the bicycle ride, there will be three different options: a circuit for children, a short itinerary and a long one.
For children up to 10 years old a circuit will be enabled in the same parking lot where several laps will be undertaken. The circuit will be controlled at all times by supervisors.
The short route will take place between the Aqualand (Magaluf) parking and the AMADIP (Palmanova) parking. It will be a 6.5-kilometre round-trip journey.
The long journey will take place between the Aqualand (Magaluf) parking and the Ágora Portals municipal parking. It will be a 12-kilometre round-trip journey.
For those who prefer to walk, the route will take place between the Aqualand (Magaluf) parking and El Toro. It will be a of 10-kilometre round-trip journey.

Wearing a helmet is recommended. It is recalled that the use of helmet is mandatory for those under 16 years old.
