The enrollment period to participate in the IV Employment Launcher of Calvià is now open.
Calvià will count next October with a new edition of the Employment Launcher, driven by the Town Hall, through the IFOC; Obra Social "la Caixa" and Fundación Santa María la Real.
It will help 25 unemployed people aged between 18 and 60 to train a new proactive, supportive and a differential team job-search.
Those people interested can register from 26th September by submitting their registration form on the launchers programme's website or at the IFOC's facilities.
The IV Employment Launcher of Calvià will be launched at the end of the forthcoming month of October. It will serve to help unemployed people aged between 18 and 60, with special emphasis on those that are in the range between 30 and 50, and who have special difficulties in accessing the labour market. Will have preference those people registered in the municipality; although the participation is left open to residents of surrounding towns.
Varied profiles
They are not looking for a specific training profile, but may participate people with basic studies; coming from vocational training or having diplomas or university degrees. Similarly, no experience in a particular labour sector is requested; but participation is open to people with various carreers of different work areas, with or without experience.
"Each launcher will be composed of a very diverse team, with the idea of banishing direct competition, and foster collaborative culture. We seek that they complement each other, that they help each other to find work, with new techniques, new tools, " explain from Fundación Santa María la Real, entity that has driven 270 launchers across the country over the past three years, with more 5.000 participants and a percentage of 60% insertion.

All those people interested have two ways to register. What will they do in the launcher?
Once selected, the participants will meet several days a week in the premises of the Cultural Centre of Son Ferrer. (C / Astor, 18). The participants, guided by Inma Alcina, with experience in the management of other launchers, will perform sessions on coaching and emotional intelligence, communication dynamics, personal branding and job-search in the digital environment.
In addition, they will train job interviews and group selection processes, they will prepare employability maps and will visit companies, to be known as professionals and have new job opportunities. All this with a clear goal: to help each other to find work, whether employed or self-employed, promoting their business ideas.
