CALVIÀ TOWN HALL INCORPORATES TWO OCCUPATION AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AGENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ACTIONS TO PROMOTE ACTIVE EMPLOYMENT POLICIES
Today 20th December, the Town Hall of Calvià incorporates two agents of occupation and local development. This new activity, framed within the Decision, of 10th October 2016, of the Regional Minister for Employment, Commerce and Industry and President of the SOIB, which approves the announcement of grants to hire agents of occupation and local development, has a total budget of 105.514,32 euros, of which 54.091,08 are financed by the SOIB and 51.423,24 are municipal contributions.
The main mission of the employment and local development agents is to collaborate in the promotion and implementation of active employment policies, employment promotion and guidance for the business generation.
Mari Carmen Iglesias, Deputy Mayor for Economy, Employment and Innovation and President of the Institut de Formació i Ocupació de Calvià (IFOC) has highlighted the importance of the project for a double reason: on the one hand, "it will allow the promotion of active employment policies" and on the other, "it will support the business initiatives of the municipality, essential objectives of this legislature."
The occupation and local development agents will join the team of professionals of the IFOC, performing territory prospecting tasks to identify new economic activities, spread new opportunities of occupation amongst the unemployed and support the people who promote companies, amongst others.
