CALVIÀ AT FITUR

The Calvià Town Hall attends the International Tourism Fair FITUR with an agenda of working meetings with the dual objective of extending the tourist season and diversifying the source markets.

The Mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Antonio García Moles, and the Town Hall's General Director of Tourism and Strategic Projects, Joan Mesquida, held a meeting with those responsible for Jet 2 as a continuation of the first meeting held at the World Travel Market of London, with whom they explored the possibility of carrying out a joint action of comarketing.

Today and tomorrow, the Calvià delegation will also meet with the directors of various tourist offices in European countries with the aim of diversifying the source markets.

Calvià will have presence at the stand of the Balearic Islands with visual material of the promotional campaign "Delve into Calvià". For this campaign a video has been shot in 360º which offers - through virtual reality glasses - a tour of the settings and traditions of Calvià. Parallel to the 360º productions, an audiovisual in full HD has been made by the paralax technique and animation of spectacular photographs. Both have been produced in Spanish, Catalan, English and German.

The 360º videos and the full HD video can be viewed on Calvià Town Hall's "YouTube" channel

Calvià will also be promoted as the site of the Smart Island World Congress and Exhibition to be held in the municipality on 20th and 21st April, this year.
