Inauguration exhibition 'Mujer y Microcrédito'.

The inauguration of the exhibition 'Mujer y microcrédito: Un mundo de trabajo y esperanza' by the association Treball Solidari will take place on Thursday 9th March at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall's exhibition hall. The exhibition can be visited from 9 March to 26 May.


The Calvià Town Hall's exhibition room hosts the exhibition ‘Mujer y microcrédito: Un mundo de Trabajo y Esperanza’ from 9 March to 26 May. The exhibition includes photographs of the trips of the photographer Pep Bonet portraying some of the projects of the Majorcan NGO Treball Solidari in Guatemala, Peru, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Bangladesh and the Philippines. The exhibition is accompanied by a micro-story contest, and a round table on “El papel de las mujeres en el espacio público” (The role of women in the public space) to be held on 12 May.


The project, promoted by Treball Solidari in collaboration with the Ajuntament de Calvià and financed by the Government of the Balearic Islands, is part of the activities held on the occasion of the International Women's Day that commemorates the women's struggle for their participation, on an equal footing with men, in society and in their integral development as a person.
