THE TOWN HALL SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HOTEL ASSOCIATION OF PALMANOVA-MAGALUF FOR THE ORGANISATION OF THE SPRING FESTIVAL AND TOURIST DAY
The economic impact of both activities, which have been carried out for nine years, amounts to about 250,000€
The Town Hall and Fundación Calvià have signed a collaboration agreement with the Hotel Association of Palmanova-Magaluf for the organisation of the Magaluf Spring Festival and Tourist Day of Palmanova-Magaluf in this year 2017.
The Spring Festival is scheduled for 19th May while Tourist Day will take place on 15th September, both activities are expected to have an economic impact of about 250,000€.
The Spring Festival is an event that has been held in Magaluf for nine years to celebrate the beginning of the tourist season. The initiative helps to boost the area at the beginning of May. On the other hand, Tourist Day is a celebration that has been held in Palmanova also for nine years and that already has become an annual appointment of consideration for the area. The celebration is understood as a tribute by the destination to tourists who visit it on a regular basis.
The Fundación Calvià has as a main objective the organisation and promotion of activities and events of sport, cultural, social character that contribute to promote Calvià as a tourist destination, especially during the mid and low season.
The agreement has been signed by the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Antonio García Moles; the Secretary of Fundación Calvià, Juan Mesquida; and the President of the Hotel Association of Palmanova-Magaluf, Sebastián Darder.
