More than 700 hikers will participate in the second edition of this tourist-sports event to be held in Calvià from 6th to 9th April

The Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Antonio García Moles, has presented, together with the Director General of Tourism of the Regional Government, Pilar Carbonell, the II Edition of the Mallorca Walking Event to be held in Calvià, and in which the Foundation Calvià, and the Departments of Tourism and Sports (ICE) of the Town Hall participate actively.
This sporting event will host from 6th to 9th April about 700 hikers from basically Holland and Belgium.
García Moles expressed the satisfaction for Calvià to host for the second consecutive year this event that will bring together more than 700 participants, and the importance for the municipality because it is in line with the strategy that is followed with the objective of lengthening the tourist season, which means more economic activity for longer and more work for citizens.
This event is also an opportunity to place value on the natural, historic and scenic heritage of the municipality, as they will cover mixed urban and mountain routes, of different distances (20 km, 30 km, and as a novelty this year 12 ' 5 km). Tourists can discover the wide variety that Calvià offers, from its beaches along its 54 kilometres of coast, to its mountainous area of Galatzó which is the gateway to the Serra de Tramuntana.
The presentation was attended by the president of the Hoteliers Association of Peguera and Cala Fornells, Antonio Mayol, and the Event Director of Galben Travel & Business, Pedro Oliver. The event was also attended by the councillors of Tourism of Llucmajor and Felanitx.
