Mohamed Boucetta and Rehima Serro win the spectacular SOL HALF MARATHON MAGALUF 2017
More than 1500 participants for a magnificent afternoon of athletics in Calvià
The Sol Half Marathon Magaluf 2017 was presented with a new circuit, designed in collaboration with local athletes. The new route, faster than in previous editions and with differentiating points such as the entrance to the Magaluf Karting circuit or the finish line on the same beach, met the expectations that the more than 1.500 runners had on the race.
The joint start of the two main races of the event, the half marathon and the 10-km race, was given at 5.30 p.m. The trail of athletes turned the main arteries of Magaluf into a hive of people. On top of that, the entertainment of the race, consisted of the Dimonis (devels) and the drums of Factoria de So, local Dj's, 40 principales and Mallorca Live Festival created a real party, both for athletes and for the numerous attending public.
The good atmosphere dominated the run day, and residents and tourists took advantage of the magnificent afternoon to walk and cheer the runners.
It is noteworthy the high competitive level of the event with two marks below one hour ten minutes.
Winners
In the men's half-marathon race, the triumph was for Mohamed Boucetta El Berrada (1:08:56) of the Club Atletismo Playa of Castellón followed by Samir Ait Bouychamane (1:08:56) of the club La Sansi and Pablo Miguel García García (1:10:06) of the club San Miguel de Marín.
In the women's half-marathon race, the triumph was for Rehima Serro Hussen (1:19:05) of the club AD Marathon followed by Sebastiana Llabrés Ramis (1:21:08) of the club Atletisme Inca-GardenHotels and Mª José Medina Ferrer (1:32:56) of Palmarunners club.
In the men's 10km-race, the first place went to Antoni Gran Sánchez (0:32:29) of the club Amistat Fisioplanet followed by Hugo Rodríguez González (0:33:29) of the club Atletisme Inca-Gardenhotels and Jonathan Gómez ( 0.33.29).
In the women's 10km-race, the first place went to Maica Rodríguez Suárez (0:39:06) of the club Atletismo Playa of Castellón followed by Irene Portillo Aguilar (0:42:19) of the club Atletisme Inca-Gardenhotels and Nuria Pérez Solanas (0:42:33) of the club CA Fidipides.
