The Llar of Calvià has received the first Quality Certification of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology, SEGG, in terms of the accreditation of the Services offered to users of the Municipal Senior Citizen's Home. The main objective of the SEGG is "to influence from the scientific point of view the well-being of the elderly", the main objective of the Llar of Calvià, SA is, amongst others, "to accredit the public service it provides"

With this Quality certification, the municipal company acquires the commitment to continue the project of continuous improvement and to continue implementing for the first time, the appropriate quality standards, in order to offer a quality residential service for both users and workers.

The second has been an activity that has fostered the autonomy and independence of the users, as well as the physical, cognitive and social skills in which fifteen Llar users, four workers, a volunteer, and a relative have participated.

'Give & Gain' has been deployed in more than 15 countries to contribute to the consolidation of corporate volunteering. The programme has brought together 107 corporate volunteer activities in which 53 companies have participated and 88 organisations have benefited more than 9,000 people.
