Calvià Town Hall signs an agreement with Aspas Foundation for the socio-occupational care at the IFOC for people with hearing disability

THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH ASPAS FOUNDATION FOR THE SOCIO-OCCUPATIONAL CARE AT THE IFOC FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING DISABILITY
-This collaboration allows to progress in active employment policies aimed at the labour insertion and social development of people in situations of vulnerability
The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, today signed an agreement with ASPAS Foundation to provide support in the field of the assignment of IFOC spaces for the socio-occupational care of people with hearing disability, thus guaranteeing care in their own municipality without the annoyance of unnecessary transfers.
This way, the Town Hall responds to the Plenary agreement, through a motion presented by Esquerra Oberta, which proposes, amongst other things: "to promote actions through the IFOC in order to integrate people with disabilities in the labour market of the municipality and the creation of agreements through the IFOC with companies and entities that work in the support from different perspectives to boost their recruitment.
Both entities, ASPAS Foundation and IFOC, also commit to the implementation of joint actions of referral and care of such groups.
The agreement was signed by the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the president of ASPAS Foundation, Cayetano Martí Mora. The signing of the agreement was also attended by the deputy mayor for Economy, Employment and Innovation, Mari Carmen Iglesias, the IFOC manager, Darío Espallargas, and on behalf of ASPAS Foundation by the managing director, Jaime Ferrer and the coordinator of the Socio-occupational Unit, Maria Agnès Melià.
