Calvià joins the campaign to raise awareness of risks in aquatic spaces

CALVIÀ TOWN HALL HAS JOINED THE CAMPAIGN #STOPAHOGADOS PROMOTED BY THE
REAL FEDERACIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE SALVAMENTO Y SOCORRISMO FOR ITS DISSEMINATION IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION SCHOOLS OF THE MUNICIPALITY

The presentation of the campaign, which tries to raise awareness on risks in aquatic spaces and offers safety precautions, has taken place at the CEIP Ses Quarterades

Calvià Town Hall has joined the campaign #StopAhogados promoted by the
Real Federación Española de Salvamento y Socorrismo to be disseminated in primary and secondary education schools of the municipality. The campaign is aimed at children from 7 to 12 years old, parents, AMIPAs and teachers.


#StopAhogados seeks to raise public awareness about the risk of the activities in aquatic spaces, both natural and in facilities, while offering advice on their use and enjoyment. The initiative is developed through advice given through drawings and a series of videos in which children receive information for the prevention of accidents on beaches and swimming-pools.

The presentation ceremony, which took place at the CEIP Ses Quarterades, was attended by the deputy mayor of General Services and Security, Andreu Serra; the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés; the deputy mayor for Sports and International Community, Eva Serra; the director of the Integrated Emergency System 112, Vicente Soria; the chief of the Local Police of Calvià, Justino Trenas; and the operational coordinator of Civil Protection and Emergencies of Calvià, Manuel Barné.
