Calvià town hall's plenary of July agreement supporting the people of Rif
The Calvià town hall's plenary expresses the unconditional rejection of any kind of violence against the freedom of expression of the Rif population.
The plenary session of Calvià town hall condemns the contempt and disrespect for human rights and the abduction of the freedom of expression of the people of Rif and of the means of communication by the authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The plenary of Cavià town hall urges the Government of the Balearic Islands to claim the freedom of all the activists of the Popular Movement of Rif and also to recommend to the Government of Morocco the demilitarisation of Rif as measures to create spaces of confidence and to guarantee the exercise of a standardised dialogue.
The plenary of Calvià town hall gives its support to the fair and democratic demands of the Riffian Popular Movement of 6th June 2017 and urges the relevant institutions, the Spanish Government and the EC to put pressure on the Kingdom of Morocco to satisfy them in a peaceful manner, as well as to place value on the Riffian Popular Movement as political speakers in the negotiation table.
The plenary of Calvià town hall urges the Government to assume the responsibility for the use of chemical weapons in Rif by the Spanish Army as a war crime and to repair the damage caused.
Calvià town hall will transfer this agreement to the Committees of Solidarity with the Riffian Popular Movement, the Balearic Parliament, the Congress of Deputies, the Government of Spain, the Consulate of Morocco in the Balearic Islands, the Moroccan Embassy in Madrid and the local media.
