CALVIÀ 2000 STARTS THE MAGALUF WASTEWATER COLLECTOR WORKS
-The volume of wastewater will be reduced to first line impulsions.
-The investment budget exceeds 77,000 euros.
-Phase 1 starts this week and is concentrated on the intersection between Blanc Street and Avinguda de l'Olivera.
Calvià 2000 begins this week the construction works of the new wastewater collector in Avinguda de l'Olivera (Magaluf). This work is part of the strategic objective of renewing the sanitation network, developed by the Water Cycle Department, performing very localised actions to replace sections of obsolete networks or with structural problems that prevent their proper functioning.
This action is of special interest, given that it is integrated into the reorganisation plan for sanitation networks that will allow to reduce the volume of wastewater transported to the first line impulsions, thereby reducing overload and risks of breakdown.
The works for the execution of the new wastewater collector begin this week and will run until February. To optimise the organisation of tasks and reduce the inconvenience to neighbours as far as possible, the works have been divided into three phases. In each of them, traffic will have to be diverted, according to the attached plans. Phase 1 starts this week, and is concentrated on the intersection between Blanc Street and Olivera Avenue.
The investment budget for the collector's renovation, consisting of an underground pipeline with access holes, is 77.246 euros. In addition, this work will renew the existing home connections to the new network.
