Citizen meetings on the PGOU Progress.

THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL BEGINS A CALENDAR OF ACTS AND INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS ON THE PROGRESS OF THE GENERAL URBAN PLANNING


The term of public exposure is extended with the objective of facilitating the participation of the citizens in the process

The Calvià Town Hall initiates a calendar of territorial activities and meetings to explain to the citizens of the municipality the Progress of the General Urban Planning (PGOU), which is currently on public exhibition until the end of February, as it has been decided to extend it to 3 months (instead of the initial 2) to facilitate the citizens' access to documentation.

On Monday, 15th January, at 6.30 pm, the Mayor of Calvià and the deputy mayor for Urban Planning, Antonio García Moles, will inaugurate an exhibition at the hall of the consistorial building in which the residents of Calvià will be able to consult the maps that are part of the technical documentation of the Progress. Subsequently, a conference-colloquium will take place, also open to the public, under the title The General Urban Planning of Calvià and the new Land Law, in which will take part Gerardo Roger Fernández, consultant architect of the PGOU; Miquel Ripoll Torres, attorney general of the PGOU; and Jaume Carbonero Malberti, architect-director of the PGOU, and in which public interventions will be given.
In addition to this act, and to encourage the participation of the residents of Calvià, a round of territorial meetings by different areas will begin on 23
rd January to offer information on the Progress' proposal and collect proposals of the citizenship.


The dates for the meetings are the following:

January: 23 (Calvià and Es Capdellà), 24 (Peguera and Cala Fornells) and 30 (El Toro)

February: 2 (Son Ferrer), 6 (Galatzó residential area), 9 (Costa de la Calma and Santa Ponça), 13 (Son Caliu, Palmanova and Magaluf), 16 (Illetes, Cas Català, Bendinat and Portals), 20 (Costa d'en Blanes)

The meetings will end on 23
rd February with a round table at the Sala Palmanova.
