CALVIÀ 2000 LAUNCHES THE COMPLIANCE SYSTEM TO PREVENT ETHICAL AND LEGAL INFRACTIONS
-It is pioneer in contracting through the Public Sector Contracting Platform, in which 270 contracts have already been tendered.
-It is the only public company in the Balearic Islands with the SGE21 Corporate Social Responsibility certificate.
Calvià 2000, the only public company in the Balearic Islands that is certified by the SGE 21 Corporate Social Responsibility System (the first European standard to develop and audit an ethical and socially responsible management system), has just implemented the Compliance or ethical and regulatory compliance system, developed and led by the department of Legal advice and contracting of the company, with the aim of preventing, detecting and managing incidents in compliance with the company's ethical code, on the one hand, and the legality, on the other. In addition, it aims to avoid corruption practices and conflicts of interest.
This set of good practices, approved by the Board of Directors of the municipal company at its last meeting, establishes ethical obligations for the employees of Calvià 2000. All workers have received training and it is also given to new employees.
Complaints through the Ethical Mailbox
With regards to corrupt practices within Calvià 2000, these are defined as those crimes committed crimes both to the detriment and to the benefit of the company. On their part, conflicts of interest occur when workers participate in contracting, personnel, financial procedures, etc. in which they have a personal interest that affects their impartiality.
The Calvià 2000 Compliance system has opened a communication channel for workers and suppliers of the company called "Ethical Mailbox", through which they can report, always in good faith, those people of the company who do not fulfill their ethical or legal obligations.
