Received the distinction of Mundo Empresarial Europeo

Calvià, 24  February 2005.- The Town Hall of Calvia has been given the distinction that is awarded annually by the publication  Mundo Empresarial Europeo under the direction of Fernando Dosantos.

Mundo Empresarial Europeo has rewarded the management of the municipality carried out by the government team led by the Mayor Carlos Delgado and that is reflected in the article published in the issue number 73 that features the VIII Edición of the Mundo Empresarial Europeo prizes. Overall,this article summarizes the main acts that the Calvian Council has developed in its different areas to make it worthy of this highly regarded distinction.  It points out the actions carried out and those that are forecase on the subject of tourist promotion, housing, wellfare and public safety.

The Prizes Mundo Empresarial Europeo are granted to the project or initiative of a public administration or a private entity who have stood out in their autonomous community. Together with Calvia Town Hall, in the case of the Balearic Islands,  the company Jaime Mascaró was also named. The distinction was also given to the Junta of Andalucía and the Town Hall at Zamora, amongst the other administrations from the rest of the autonomous communities.

In representation of Calvia Town Hall the councillor and delegate for General Services and Citizen's Participation, José Manuel Ruiz, collected the distinction from the State Secretary for Territorial Cooperation of the Ministry of Public Administration  José Luis Méndez Romeu. The Prize giving ceremony took place last 22nd at the Hotel Husa Chamartín in Madrid.
