THE TOWN HALL SIGNS AN AGREEMENT FOR THE FINANCING OF THE COMMUNITY SOCIAL SERVICES WITH THE IMAS AND THE REGIONAL MINISTRY FOR SOCIAL SERVICES AND COOPERATION

The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has signed an agreement for the financing of the community social services in 2018 with the regional minister for Social Services and Cooperation of the Regional Government, Fina Santiago, and the president of the IMAS and regional minister for Welfare and Social Rights of the Consell de Mallorca, Margalida Puigserver, along with other nine municipalities on the island.
The purpose of the agreement is to establish the framework of collaboration between the Institut Mallorquí d'Afers Socials and the Ajuntament de Calvià, for the provision of basic community social services for the year 2018. The Town Hall will receive € 614,597.68 for this concept, thus the financed services will be provided by the Town Hall with the support of the IMAS and the Balearic Government, with the content and criteria established in the Financing Plan agreed at the Social Services Sectoral Conference of the Balearic Islands, which includes the contents of the basic community social services benefits: information service, assessment, advice, intervention and referral; home help service; telecare / remote alarm service; economic benefits for the coverage of basic needs, amongst others.
The contribution contributes to the maintenance and operation of the municipal social services network that are the citizenship's first door of entry to the public social attention system.
