From 31
st May and until 14th June, the exhibition Desenterrant el Silenci will be displayed at Calvià Town Hall's Exhibition Hall.

Through Sergi Bernal's photographs, this exhibition project not only tries to unearth the memory of the common graves of the Civil War but also tries to close the story of an unfulfilled promise, the story of the teacher Benaiges and his students who never got to see the sea with their tutor, just as he promised after editing "El mar" notebook. This exhibition also claims a pedagogy where the student is the centre of the educational process, as with the example of the notebooks that the students themselves edited in the school of the small village of Bañuelos de Bureba, in Burgos, where Antoni Benaiges followed the Freinet method (Célestin Freinet).

The exhibition, inaugurated in September 2011, arrives for the first time in the Balearic Islands where it will visit several locations, including Calvià, where it can be visited from 31st May to 14th June.
