CALVIÀ TOWN HALL CARRIES OUT THE #STOPAHOGADOS CAMPAIGN IN SCHOOLS AND HIGH SCHOOLS OF THE MUNICIPALITY

The #StopAhogados campaign is promoted by the
Real Federación Española de Salvamento y Socorrismo

The Calvià Town Hall, from the Department of Civil Protection and Emergencies, carries out for the second year the #StopAhogados campaign-promoted by the Real Federación Española de Salvamento y Socorrismo- in schools and high schools of the municipality.

#StopAhogados is an action to raise public awareness on the risk of activities in aquatic spaces, both natural and in facilities, while offering advice on their use and enjoyment.

The initiative gives advice using pictures and children receive information for the prevention of accidents in beaches and swimming pools.

They are provided with brochures and paper fans with information, and they are explained issues such as the lifeguard's work, sun protection, the possible consequences of not doing a proper digestion, or the need to notify the lifeguard or call 112 if they perceive any danger or need help.

Practices are also done with schoolchildren to "rescue" them.
