CALVIÀ TOWN HALL DELIVERS TEN SOCIAL RENTAL HOMES

The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés, have handed over to ten families the keys of ten homes, on a social rental basis.

There are six homes in Peguera, two in Santa Ponça, one in Son Ferrer and one in Calvià village, which come from different developments and that have been unoccupied for more than ten years.

The Town Hall's Housing Office has been responsible for furnishing the houses, equipping them also with a kitchen and appliances so that their use can be immediate.

With the use cession of these ten equipped houses, the Town Hall contributes to mitigate the access to housing problem that exists in Calvià for large segments of the population.

For this reason, work is being carried out on other protected housing developments at an assessed price, public and private, such as the one the Town Hall and the Government have recently implemented in the Magaluf area, and whose construction is scheduled to begin at the end of this year.
