THE POLICE FINES A TOURIST FOR JUMPING FROM ONE BALCONY TO ANOTHER
This is the fourth fine that is filed this year for similar cases
The Local Police of Calvià has fined a tourist for jumping from one balcony to another, in the Magaluf establishment in which she was staying. According to what a witness told the police, the young woman jumped from one balcony to another and, despite being warned of the danger, she continued with her attitude putting her life at risk. Finally, the woman fell from the first floor, where she was, down to an inside courtyard, from where she was taken to Son Espases hospital to be attended. The Civil Guard has taken over the investigation.
The Local Police located the tourist, Irish and aged 18, just before returning to her country and notified her the sanction.
The municipal bylaw for the Coexistence Promotion considers balconing or other similar attitudes such as moving from one balcony to another on the outside of the building as a serious offence, as has been the case, which entails a fine ranging from 600 to 1,500 €.
So far this year is the fourth fine for this type of attitude.
