CALVIÀ CELEBRATES EUROPE DAY
One more year, Calvià celebrated Europe Day in Palmanova with various activities
The event, organised by Calvià Town Hall, took place on Sunday 12th May from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Passeig del Mar de Palmanova, where a 400-metre linear market was set up with stalls selling local crafts and international food. In addition, there was children's entertainment and musical performances on stage throughout the day. At 1 p.m., the Mayor of Calvià Alfonso Rodríguez Badal presented, as every year, the European Citizen of the Year award which in this edition has gone to the President of the SOS Animal Foundation, Ortrud Tannenbaum; together with the Deputy Mayor for Sports, International Community and Innovation, Eva Serra; the Palmanova councillor, Francisca Muñoz; and the head of the International Community, Dolina Reynolds.
