JOANART 2019 CONSOLIDATES IN ITS FOURTH EDITION AS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY ART STROLL OF CALVIÀ

On 24th June at 6.30 p.m., JoanArt Calvià 2019 will consolidate, in its fourth edition, as a multidisciplinary artistic tour that brings together artists and creators in a day of cultural activities framed within the municipality's patron saint festivities programme.
The artistic itinerary will begin at the Town Hall with the exhibition opening and will take a tour through painting, sculpture, music, theatre and gastronomy, through the main streets of the village: carrer Major (main street), plaça de la Vila (village square), Rectory cloister, plaça de l'Església (church sqaure)and Can Verger.
Both, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the president of the Association of Visual Artists of the Balearic Islands (AAVIB), Alicia Llabrés, have signed this morning, for the third consecutive year, the agreement for the good practices in the Visual Arts Code enforcement, along with the deputy mayor responsible for the Department of Culture, Nati Francés, and representatives of the Ou Verd Association that collaborates in the JoanArt's coordination.

6.30-9 p.m. Inauguration of the exhibition in the Town Hall's exhibition rooms
7-7.30 p.m. Music and dance: Saïdia. Magdalena Garzón, accompanied by cellist Marc Alomar, pays homage to grandparents and to the land with a repertoire that goes from Baroque to contemporary music
7.30-8.30 p.m. Live painting with Hugo Soto and gastronomic tasting by Marian Sotomayor of Aromes and bartender Matías Iriarte of Chefs (in), who will present the cocktail "Calvià"

CAN VERGER
Historical clothing exhibition in two shifts: at 6.30 p.m. and at 8 p.m.
Pupils of the clothing workshop will show and wear the pieces made by the teachers Antònia Vicens and Paquita Caimari. Old clothing that can be seen and touched will be exhibited. You can also listen to traditional songs and tunes of the popular culture performed by the GIPÓ group (Júlia Colom, Josep Oliver, Gori Matas and Teo Salvà), traditional music reinvented. The visit will end with the Escola Municipal de Ball de Bot de Calvià (Municipal Traditional Dancing School of Calvià).

21st June at 8 p.m., at Sa Societat, conference on trade unionism and tourism by Paco Obrador.
24th June at 11 a.m., at Calvià church, Eucharist and homage to people over 90 years of age, with the participation of the parish choir and the 'ball de l'ofrena'.
28th June at 8.30 p.m., at the Peguera Auditorium, performance of the Choir of Calvià.
29th June from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Momentum square in Magaluf, an artistic event for all audiences with an art exhibition of 30 artists, ceramic and engraving workshops and live painting, organised by Momentum Plaza and Ou Verd Colectivo artístico.
29th June at 8 p.m., at the Peguera Auditorium, the actress Agnès Llobet will perform the theatre play La malcontenta, by Sebastià Alzamora.
