The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has signed collaboration agreements with representatives of the hotel associations of the municipality for the management of the 'Calvià, el invierno europeo' programme during this coming middle and low season.
The 'Calvià, el invierno europeo' programme began in 1992 and it has been taking place every year since then, so this season it is 27 years old. This year, the programme's economic endowment increases by 4.42% compared to previous seasons.

The programme includes activities such as excursions, guided tours, workshops, concerts, event visits, and other special activities. The Town Hall intends to boost the tourism activity in the areas where the programme is carried out while placing value on the natural, historical and cultural heritage of the municipality.
From November to April, the corresponding monthly programmes of activities are carried out - in different languages - that are disseminated through the open hotel establishments and in the municipal tourist information offices, where also the registrations to the activities that are developed and that need it are carried out. Tour operators and travel agencies operating in the municipality are also informed on the programme and the scheduled events and activities.
