WALK FROM CALVIÀ TO PUIGPUNYENT IN MEMORY OF JUAN FERRÀ AND CRISTÓFOL BARCELÓ MORA

Joan Ferrà will return with his family on Sunday 9th February

With the Calvià grave opening, the remains of Joan Ferrà were identified this year.

For this reason, on Sunday 9th February, the return walk at the request of the family almost a decade ago will take place, commemorating the walk done by two women from Galilee to Calvià to collect the bodies of their relatives Joan Ferrà and Cristòfol Barceló Mora, killed in 1936 by Franco's regime.

The walk will begin at 10 a.m. in Son Font (Calvià) and the institutional event will take place at 12.30 p.m. at Puigpunyent Cemetery, where there will be musical performances by the soprano Maia Planas, the guitarist Pere Fiol and the cellist Joan Fiol.

There will be bus service:

Departure at 9 a.m. from Puigpunyent to Son Font

Departure at 9.30 a.m. from Calvià Town Hall to Son Font (there will be a return service after the tribute)
