The travelling exhibition 'Balears, Natura urgent' prepared by SEO Birdlife within the framework of the ARES project (Actions for the Recovery of Wild Species) of the Regional Ministry for Environment and Territory arrives in Calvià. The exhibition can be visited at Es Generador building until 13th November.
The exhibition 'Balears, Natura urgent' (Balearic Islands, urgent nature) is about threatened fauna and flora of the Balearic Islands. It includes information on rural birds, raptors, flora, marine invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles and an endemic beetle from Formentera.
The Deputy Mayor for Environment and Ecological Transition, Rafel Sedano, expressed his satisfaction at hosting this exhibition in the municipality and explained that "it is a fantastic tool to learn about our most threatened species. In addition to creating protection tools, the institutions have the responsibility to teach citizenship and collaborate with protectionist entities ". Likewise, he takes the opportunity to "encourage everyone to visit an exhibition that transmits a clear message about the importance of conserving species, mainly endemic and native ones."
Likewise, the General Director of Natural Spaces and Biodiversity, Llorenç Mas, has been grateful and happy for the space chosen to show the exhibition, Es Generador, and invites everyone to come "especially, young people to a space that is thought for them to see an exhibition that raises awareness and includes recommendations on how each of us can contribute to the protection of our biodiversity, also highlighting the different spaces and natural parks of the Balearic Islands ”.
