EVICTED A PARTY WITH 35 PEOPLE IN A CHALET IN CALVIÀ
The birthday party goers had organised an illegal gathering with alcohol and drugs that had to last all weekend
The Local Police of Calvià halted an illegal party in a chalet in Son Font (Calvià) that was held throughout the weekend. The police officers evicted the participants in the celebration yesterday morning and proceeded to denounce the 35 attendees who had gathered at the building on Saturday from 5 p.m. Amongst the people reported, aged between 20 and 25 years, the daughter of the owner of the property was identified, who had organised the party to celebrate her birthday. The meeting took place in a living room of the chalet, which had a powerful stereo and speakers. Also, there was a large amount of alcohol and on the floor they found numerous counterfeit dollars, probably from a board game.
Early in the morning yesterday, the Local Police of Calvià made a routine control in Son Font when a neighbour, upon seeing the police patrols, alerted them of the hustle and bustle and noise there was in a chalet on the Camí de Son Font, a residential area in Calvià village. When the police officers went to the indicated place, they found that an illegal birthday party was taking place. The Local Police of Calvià acted immediately and identified the 35 attendees of the party that began on Saturday afternoon. It should be noted that the participants, all of them proposed for fine for breaching the COVID-19 regulations, had a collaborative attitude during the house eviction.
However, when the police officers appeared at the party, some attendees began to throw the drugs outside the chalet, which were later intervened. Despite this, in the building there were small amounts of cocaine, marijuana buds, some MDA pills and ketamine. The police intervention resulted in five proposals for fine for drug possession.
In addition to the eviction, the Calvià Local Police officers controlled the traffic towards this Calvià hill. In this control, a complaint was drawn up for drug trafficking, another for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, another traffic complaint for administrative issues and four more complaints for not using the surgical masks inside a car without being cohabitants.
