Meeting to explain the central government's aids.

MEETING WITH THE PRODUCTIVE SECTOR OF CALVIÀ TO EXPLAIN THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT'S AIDS

The president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the vice president and regional minister for Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, Juan Pedro Yllanes, held a meeting with representatives of the productive sectors of Calvià, with the aim of explaining them the goverment's aids call to grant the 855 million euros allocated to the Balearic Islands from the state's aid fund endowed with 7.000 million and that will go to companies that have suffered a sharp decrease greater than their activity due to the pandemic.

The mayor highlighted the importance of these direct aids for a municipality such as Calvià, since they can be a great help to overcome with guarantees of maintaining the production fabric and, therefore, jobs.

Alfonso Rodríguez Badal thanked the meeting with both, president and vice president in a meeting attended by representatives of the tourism sector such as commerce, restaurants, hotels and taxis, amongst others.
