Calvià families can submit applications from today until 30th June to access the grants for the start of the 2021-2022 school year to which students enrolled in public centres have to attend the second cycle of Pre-school education, Primary education, Compulsory Secondary Education or Baccalaureate studies.
For this year, the budget has increased by 97%, going from the 126.910 euros budgeted in 2020, to the 250.000 euros in the 2021 budget, with the commitment to increase the item if necessary.
To simplify procedures, this year families will only have to submit a responsible declaration, and, like last year, the valuation will be made based on the net monthly income at the time of submitting the application, and not from the fiscal year of the previous year as it was done in other calls. Thus, the real situation of families is reflected, many of which have suffered income losses due to the Covid-19 crisis.
These grants are aimed at subsidising part of the expenses that families, with students enrolled in public centres, have at the beginning of the school year such as the purchase of textbooks, digital textbooks, curricular material, computer infrastructure for study, etc.
The amounts range from 110 euros per student in Early Childhood education and lower Primary education courses, to 225 euros for students in upper Secondary education and Baccalaureate courses.
