This morning the Calvià Local Security Board met to coordinate the 2021 Summer campaign in the municipality before the start of the season with the opening of the British market.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal; the regional government delegate, Aina Calvo; the regional minister of the Presidency, Mercedes Garrido; the colonel chief of the Balearic Civil Guard Command, Alejandro Hernández; the head of the Calvià Local Police, Francisco Darder, as well as the deputy mayor for Police, Nati Francés; the general director of Emergencies and Interior and the general director of Tourism of the regional government, Jaume Barceló and Rosana Morillo; the commissioner commander of the main post of the Civil Guard in Calvià, Manuel Martínez Palomo, and Calvià Town Hall's general director of Police, José Antonio Fernández.

During the meeting, the importance of maintaining collaboration between the security forces was stressed, as was done last weekend, as highlighted by the mayor, the result of which has been a situation of control, both in terms of Covid regulations as well as the regulations of excesses. Along these lines, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal has requested the maintenance of the reinforcements to face the season with the same guarantees, given the arrival of British tourism.

The government delegate, Aina Calvo, has also highlighted the collaboration that has been verified, once again, this weekend, and has indicated that the Civil Guard reinforcements that are arriving will have an important impact on Calvià. At the meeting, it was reported that foreign police forces are already working together with local ones.

The regional minister of the Presidency, Mercedes Garrido, has added on her behalf that the most important thing is to be able to offer a safe season by controlling all health and safety aspects.
