During the ceremony, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, dedicated a few words in which he remembered the two young Civil Guards with affection, sadness and pain. The event, with restricted capacity due to the health situation, was attended by the parents, relatives and friends of Diego Salvá; the president of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol; the president of the Parliament, Vicenç Thomàs; the Government delegate, Aina Calvo; the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera; the spokespersons of the municipal groups of Calvià; Civil Guard authorities and the Municipal Police of Calvià, as well as public attendees.

After the mayor's words, the act continued with a minute's silence and subsequently the tribute that the rapporteur paid to the deceased Civil Guards of all times. This was followed by the institutional floral offering made by President Armengol and Diego Salvá's parents. The act ended with the Civil Guard's hymn.
