CALVIÀ TOWN HALL GRANTS AN AID OF 100.000 EUROS TO RADIO TAXI CALVIÀ
The subsidy is intended to collaborate in the current expenses of the radio station that has provided service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a year with minimal income from its associates
Calvià Town Hall has signed an agreement with Radio Taxi Calvià to collaborate in the payment of the current expenses that the cooperative society has faced in 2021. With the signing of this agreement, the Town Hall grants Radio Taxi Calvià a subsidy of 100.000 euros.
Radio Taxi Calvià, which groups 214 taxi licenses of the municipality, offers the service of the radio station 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to cover the taxi service users requests, and has continued carrying out this service, therefore, facing the same expenses as in a normal year in Calvià, when the income from its associates has been low and they have not been able to make the usual contributions.
The mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, who has signed the agreement with the president of Radio Taxi Calvià, Fernando Luengo, has indicated that the objective of this grant is to promote the reactivation of the sector that has been particularly affected by Covid -19, within the framework of aid to the productive sector.
In 2020 the Calvià Town Hall and Radio Taxi Calvià already signed an agreement, on that occasion the aid was 10.000 euros.
The agreement signing event was also attended by the deputy mayor for General Services and Infrastructures, head of Mobility, Juan Recasens, and the president of the Calvià Taxi Association, María del Carmen Navarro.
