Calvià Town Hall is grateful for the Q 2022 award that recognises the municipality's commitment to the quality of its beaches
The Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) has awarded Calvià Town Hall the Q 2022 award, an award that each year recognises all those people, companies or institutions that have stood out in promoting the quality of the Spanish tourism sector. Calvià is distinguished by its commitment to the quality of its beaches, being the municipality with the highest number of certified beaches in Spain.
Calvià Town Hall receives this award as a recognition of the work that is done day after day to maintain and improve the quality of both the waters and the beaches, as well as the services offered on the beaches, as a result of the involvement of different municipal departments coordinated by Tourism and Coastline, and the collaboration of the beach concession companies.
Calvià currently has 15 Quality Q Flags on the beaches of Bunguenvilla, Illetes health resort, Cala Contesa, Portals, s'Oratori, es Carregador (Palmanova), Palmanova, Son Maties, Magaluf, Cala Vinyes, Ses Penyes Roges (El Toro), Santa Ponça, La Romana (Peguera), Torà (Peguera) and Palmira (Peguera).
The awards ceremony will take place on 20th January in Madrid, during the celebration of la Noche Q, the Spanish tourism great gala that ICTE celebrates.
