CALVIÀ TOWN HALL GRANTS THE LICENSE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 87 SUBSIDISED HOUSING IN THE RES-50 OF MAGALUF
The private developer promotes 75 subsidised housing and 12 homes at an appraised price
Calvià Town Hall has granted this Monday a license to the company Promociones Vistarga SL, for the construction of 75 subsidised housing and 12 homes at an appraised price, which will be located on plots 4 and 5 of the Strategic Land Reserve (RES-50) in Magaluf, in front of the old Aquaparc car park, very close to roundabout number 8. It is a purchase-sale development promoted by a private company, under a subsidised regime, so SH will be granted through the IBAVI listing (as a public development), while the VPT will be granted directly by the developer at an appraised price.
In this legislature, in Calvià, an important boost is being given to the construction of public housing. Currently 48 SH are under construction in Magaluf (24 financed by the Town Hall and 24 by the Govern); in the same place there are up to 40 privately-built subsidised housing that are in the bidding process by IBAVI, and 99 subisdised homes are being built entirely by Calvià Town Hall in Santa Ponça.
Both, the new private development in Magaluf and those already underway in Magaluf and Santa Ponça, are carried out in the RES-50, RES-2, and RES-4 Strategic Land Reserves, respectively, created by the Law 5/2008, of 14th May, on urgent actions aimed at obtaining land for subsidised housing, to face with the lack of urbanised land for the construction of subsidised housing in the Balearic Islands.
After the procedures carried out by the Urban Planning area, with the support of the Housing Department, to obtain the license, it is expected that the construction works of the first subsidised housing of this private development will begin in approximately 6 months.
