Europe Day celebration in Calvià
Europe Day was commemorated today in Calvià with a celebration in Palmanova that was attended by the municipal government team led by the mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal; the deputy mayor for European Citizenship, Eva Serra; the Palmanova councillor, Francisca Muñoz, and by the MEP Alícia Homs.
During the day, the European Citizen of the Year was awarded, chosen by the different participating associations and entities, in recognition of his/her solidarity work, and this year the recognition was for Izzy Newman.
