Works have begun to install acoustic screens in Hostalets St. in Calvià
The department of Mobility and Infrastructures of the Consell de Mallorca has started today the works to install acoustic screens in Hostalets St. in Portals (Calvià) to reduce the acoustic impact of the Hostalets residential area in Calvià.
This action takes place together with the similar one that the Consell de Mallorca began two weeks ago to install acoustic screens in Son Caliu.
Marcos Pecos, deputy mayor for Transparency, Innovation and Economic Services, and Eva Serra, councillor for Portals, attended the commencement of the works that, according to Serra, respond to a neighbourhood claim.
The intervention will consist of installing five-metre high sound-absorbing acoustic screens with anti-graffiti treatment. The length of the screens installation action is 540 linear metres.
