JoanArt Calvià 2022 will be the seventh edition of the more than consolidated annual cultural event on 24th June in Calvià. JoanArt is a multidisciplinary artistic stroll through Calvià village that brings together artists and creators in a day whose main activity is an exhibition in the Town Hall.

Calvià Town Hall returns to normality in terms of this annual celebration that marks the arrival of summer, since in 2020 and 2021 a special call was held adapted to the circumstances due to the pandemic without cancelling or postponing the event.

The activities, which will have their main event on Sant Joan's day, began on Saturday 18th June, with the premiere at Sa Societat theatre of 'Escalar un gegant', the winning theatre play of the Premi rei En Jaume theatre awards 2021.

Signing of the framework agreement with the Associació d'Artistes Visuals de les Illes Balears

The signing of the framework agreement for the application of the Code of Good Practices in Visual Arts between Calvià Town Hall and the Associació d'Artistes Visuals de les Illes Balears (AAVIB) will take place on Thursday 24th June at 6.15 p.m., at the town hall, after JoanArt Calvià d'arts visuals exhibition's opening at the exhibition hall.

The AAVIB aims to represent, defend and promote the economic, social, professional and cultural interests of visual artists.

A similar agreement was signed in 2018 and 2019, but, since the agreement only referred to Joanart, this new signature is used to extend the agreement to all Calvià Town Hall's Culture Department projects related to visual arts.

The agreement includes, by the Town Hall, the promotion of artistic creation and expression freedom, and the promotion of artistic activity from all its aspects: creation, production, research, screening, education, dissemination and social integration. The AAVIB, for its part, undertakes to establish professional relationships with creators and artistic groups according to technical, participation and transparency criteria.
