Road safety education by the Local Police of Calvià
In recent weeks, Calvià Local Police officers have carried out various activities in the Children's Traffic Park with schoolchildren from nine infant and primary education schools in the municipality. The students drove around with scooters and bicycles inside the schools through the circuits proposed by the local police officers. Constant attention in the use of public roads, both as a pedestrian or driver, was especially worked on. Likewise, attention was paid to reading and understanding traffic signs and they were taught civility with other users.
The activity in the Children's Traffic Park is complementary to the Road Safety talks that the Tutor Police officers give in the schools and institutes of the municipality of Calvià to ensure that the students are competent and responsible. In total, 38 groups and around 760 students from the centres of Ses Rotes Velles, Na Morisca, Son Caliu, Galatzó, Son Ferrer, Puig de Sa Ginesta, Xaloc and Bendinat have been able to enjoy the park.
