Calvià gets ready for next week´s traditional Mallorca "fiestas Sant Antoni". In each of the different areas of the municipality all Calvianers get into gear for the magic and the enchantment of the typical bonfires known as the "foguerons".

Bonfires will be lit next Saturday in Portals Nous, Son Ferrer, Paguera, Es Galatzó, El Toro, Es Capdellà, Son Caliu, Calvià village and Costa d'en Blanes, whilst Magaluf will celebrate on Friday 18th. On Sunday once the fires are all out Calvia town will host the traditional animal and pet blessings.

Portals Nous

The Bonfire will be lit on Saturday 19th at "Plaza Alcazar" as from 19.30 hours.

Son Ferrer

At 19.00 hours the bonfire will be lit in Son Ferrer just next to the church in the "Calle Ocell del Paradís".

Peguera

Residents of Paguera can get together for the event which starts with the bonfire at 20.00 hours in the car park of the Casal de Peguera

Es Galatzó

At 19.30 the bonfire will start at the "Plaza Rosa de Es Galatzó".

El Toro

At the "Plaza de Europa" as from 20.00 hours.

Es Capdellà

Fires will be lit at 20.00 hours at "Calle Iglesia", just in front of the sports centre.

Son Caliu

La "calle Burgos" will be the venue for the Sant Antoni bonfire as from 20.00 hours.

Calvià town

As from 20.00 hours at the Basketball pitch.

Magaluf y Sol de Mallorca

In Magaluf and Sol de Mallorca the bonfires will tale place on Friday 18th at 19.00 hours at the "Calle Greco", Magasol and "Las Palmeras" (Magaluf) and at the "Calle Terral" ( Sol de Mallorca).

On Sunday 20th after a night of fun and magic the traditional animal and pet blessings (Beneïdes) will take place at 12.00 at the church of Saint John the Baptist in Calvia town..
