Next April Calvià will once again celebrate the local cooking event "Mostra de cuines" this allows us to get to know the quality and variation of dishes from the region. This year we celebrate the 5th edition of the event which has not only undergone a slight change of name but also of format. The goal of this event is to raise awareness of the vast array of restaurants in the municipality and therefore encourage people to try them.

The "Mostra de cuines" will take place every Friday during the month of April in designated places within the municipality. Therefore the restaurants which have registered will be the venues for the Friday events in the following areas:

Friday 4th April Cas Català, Illetas, Portals and Bendinat.

Friday 11th April Palmanova, Son Caliu, Magaluf, Son Ferrer.

Friday 18th April Santa Ponça, El Toro and Son Bugadellas.

Friday 25thth April Cala Fornells, Paguera, Calvià and Es Capdellà.

All restauranteurs who wish to take part in this event should register beforehand at the Calvia foundation and should choose a sample menu for people to try both at lunchtimes and in the evenings. There are set prices depending on the category of the restaurant :

1 Fork: 7 euros

2 Forks: 10 Euros

3 forks: 15 euros

Calvià Town Hall will carry out a publicity campaign in order to promote this event sponsored by Ejecucion Balear de contratas EBC and the idea is to offer the whole range of gastronomy from within the municipality. Restaurants taking part will receive an identification plaque and a reservation number for prior bookings.
