Palmanova and Magaluf celebrate Tourist day tomorrow with a multitude of activities, sports competitions and music..

Tourist day is organised by the Association of Hoteliers of the Palmanova-Magaluf area, with the colaboration of Calvià Town Hall. The celebration pays homage to the visitors that come here each year, to thank them for their loyalty to these resorts.

There is a complete programme of activities organised, which starts at 10am with various activities and beach competitions in Palmanova and Magaluf. Between 10.00 and 14.00 hours in Palmanova next to the Tourist information office there will be volley ball, and 5 a side football. Bouncy castles will be set up for the little ones and the adults can enjoy a game of gladiators.. On Magaluf beach, next to the tourist information office and at the same time, there will be similar facilities and activities available.

At night time at 21.15 horas, The musical band from Pollensa will be playing on the sea front at Palmanova, at 22.10 there will be the close of the fiesta complete with a firework display. In the Square at Punta Ballena there will be a concert at 21.30 with a band from Son Rapinya as well as a bouncy castle and a firework display all of which ends at around 22.25.

Another activity is a digital photography competition which is open to tourists staying at hotels in this area. The photographs should reflect aspects of tourism in Palmanova-Magaluf. Entries can be sent up until 15th October to the e mail info@palmanova-magaluf.com and on the 20th the 3 winners will be announced. Prizes consist of free accomodation in some of the hotels of the region.

Finally, each hotel will celebrate something special for their guests, such as food sampling, cocktails aperitifs etc before dinner.
